I get online to enjoy listening to these games but when I get on your site it’s AWFUL!!!!! Audio is in and out and then you have all that background sound (another announcer) that totally drowns the on line announcer out. YOU have to do something to fix that so the fans trying to enjoy it by listening can do so. THIS IS REALLY BAD….PLEASE FIX IT!!!!

  7. Fred Clinard on June 9th, 2010 7:48 pm

Could you please try to fix the sound quality of the broadcast. It is really hard to understand. Thanks

    1-2-3 for Staunton. Mid-4: Waynesboro 3, Staunton 1.

Please ask Jon Clinard how to pronounce his last name. You’re still mispronouncing it.

    1-2-3 for Waynesboro. End 4: Waynesboro 3, Staunton 1.

    Hello?

  13. Anthony Allen on June 9th, 2010 8:07 pm

We’re trying to listen to the game from Georgia, it’s too bad that the audio is so hard to decipher. There seems to be a lot going on, sounds like several announcers all talking at the same time.

  14. admin on June 9th, 2010 8:26 pm

Waynesboro scores three in the fifth. Through 5: Waynesboro 6, Staunton 1.

  15. Jan Kuban on June 9th, 2010 8:32 pm

This is TJ Kuban’s mom…is he ok?
Also, sometimes it’s hard to hear because you are talking and so is the announcer at the same time.
Kuban is pronounced like the “Cuban” cigar.

  16. Jan Kuban on June 9th, 2010 8:36 pm

    Thank you!

  17. Fred Clinard on June 9th, 2010 8:59 pm

Thanks for getting Jon’s name right!

As far as the broadcast is concerned it’s not that the background noise is loud at times as much as it is the quality of your microphone. You need to work on the eq by taking some of the highs out and adding mid- and low-range frequencies.

  18. Anthony Allen on June 9th, 2010 9:07 pm

Much better since you’ve moved away from all the background noise. Still not great quality, sounds ‘tinny’, but much better. It’s not ESPN, so understandable. Thanks for your efforts.

  19. Robert Madison on June 9th, 2010 9:08 pm

Thank you for trying to make it sound somewhat better.

  20. Jan Kuban on June 9th, 2010 9:09 pm

Just moving away made a BIG difference…thanks…

Just a note, Brian Adkins just finished his freshmen year at UCF. The team site has him listed as a senior.

I’m not trying to offend you at all. Just trying to help out as I do have a little experience in this area.

Since I now know you are using a cell phone are you using a headset or just talking through the mic on the phone?

If you are not using a wired headset I would try that. It might help. You can get those for less than 20 bucks.

    Thanks!

  23. admin on June 9th, 2010 10:10 pm

Thanks for all the comments. We’re going to open up this blog every home game so we can get feedback on sound issues, name pronunciations, bits of insight about the players and whatever else.

I apologize again for the sound issues. We’re using a cell phone and a headset with splitter that I got at Radio Shack for $80 last summer. We didn’t get any complaints last year, but then again, we didn’t use our website to get comment from listeners like I did for the first time tonight.

We’ll work to improve sound quality. Bear with us!

SPEAK MY MIND HERE GOES, WHERE ARE THE SPONSORS FOR FREE TICKETS ESCPECIALLY FOR SENIOR CITIZENS. IN WAYNESBORO, WHICH IS A POOR TOWN ,SENIOR CITIZENS WOULD LIKE TO ENJOY THE GENERAL BALL GAMES BUT CAN NOT AFFORD THE $3.00 EACH GAME. IN THE PAST YEARS THERE WERE SPONSORS. WHERE ARE THEY NOW. I HAVE A FEW SUGGESTIONS, 1- LET THE SENIOR CITIENS IN FEE, THEY ARE GOING TO BUY HOT-DOGS WHEN THERE. 2- GET SPONS3- HAVE THE GENERAL BALL-PLAYERS PAY FOR THE SENIOR CITIZENS TO ENJOY NTHE BALL-GAME, MY DAD WENT WHEN DICK MOYER PLAYED= DO YOU REMEMBER. NOW HE IS RETIRED– 80 YEARS OLD, WOULD GO TO BALL-GAMES BUT CAN NOT AFFORD THE TICKETS, WE HAVE SENIOR IN THIS TOWN – THAT HAVE TO MAKE DECISIONS TO BUY MEDICINES, PAY RENT, BUY GROCERIES AS FOR ENJOYING A FREE NIGHT AT THE BALL-GAME THAT WOULD BRIGHTEN THERE DAY HOW ABOUT PUTTING FREE TICKETS IN THE NEWSPAPER, SEE HOW MANY COME. WAYNESBORO NEEDS TO KNOW SPONSORS ARE NEEDED SO EVERYONE CAN ENJOY A NIGHT OUT. PLEASE, PLEAE EMAIL ME BACK SO I CAN LET MY DAD GO TO A BALL-GAME. HE WOULD LOVE IT. THANKS

FREE TICKETS WHERE ARE THE SPONSORS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS MY DAD WANTS TO COME TO A GAME WE NEED FREE TICKETS

  26. admin on June 12th, 2010 10:22 pm

I don’t think we should ask the ballplayers to pay for people to come to the games. They’re playing for free already. The games are for them.

We’d love to see more sponsors step up and make free tickets available.

Go try to find ANY form of entertainment for $3 or $5. It is very very reasonable
