Katz, Hoyle named to Freshman All-America team
Two members of the 2012 Waynesboro Generals were named to the 2012 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America team.
Michael Katz (William and Mary) and Jacob Hoyle (Western Carolina) were named to the team.
Katz hit .316 for the Tribe in 2012 with 10 home runs and 58 RBI. Katz also posted a .379 on-base percentage and .505 slugging percentage.
Hoyle hit .308 in 2012 with four homers and 45 RBI. Hoyle had a .362 on-base percentage and .449 slugging percentage for the Catamounts.
