Aldrich Tabbed as Generals’ Pitching Coach

matt-aldrichThe Waynesboro Generals are pleased to announce that Matt Aldrich, currently the Columbus State University graduate assistant coach, will be joining the Waynesboro Generals staff in 2017 as an assistant coach.

Aldrich will complete his fifth year with the Columbus State program this season after two seasons as a player, one as a student assistant, and two as a graduate assistant.

Aldrich began his collegiate playing career at Valdosta State, the home of Generals’ head coach, Matt Williams, and later transferred to Darton State in Albany, Georgia, where he became a junior college All-American.

In the spring of 2015, Aldrich graduated from Columbus State with his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and is currently pursuing his master’s in public administration.

In Aldrich’s current role as a graduate assistant at Columbus State, he assists in managing the pitching staff and all day-to-day activities.

Aldrich’s day-to-day duties with the Waynesboro Generals will include managing the pitching staff.
