Terrance Dedrick (junior, Auburn) and Tyler Fox (freshman, Nebraska-Omaha) have been named the Waynesboro Generals Players of the Week for Week 2 of the 2013 Valley League season.
Ben Krusen took to Twitter to express his frustration at trimesters. “I wish I was in Virginia with @wborogenerals for our exhibition game tonight instead of still in school.. #12moredays,” mused Krusen, a pitcher in his second season with the Waynesboro Generals, the night of the Generals’ exhibition game with the Stuarts Draft Diamondbacks on May 29.
Waynesboro Generals pitcher Ben Krusen (sophomore, North Central) was named the Generals Player of the Game in Waynesboro’s 3-0 loss to New Market Saturday night. Krusen struck out six, walked one and gave up one hit in three and two-thirds innings of relief in the game.
The 2013 Waynesboro Generals Summer Camp, sponsored by SVB-SA, is set for June 24-27 at Linco Park at Kate Collins Field. The camp will be led by Generals head coach Mike Bocock and his staff – with instruction being offered by coaches at SVB-SA and Waynesboro Generals players.

The Waynesboro Generals donated more than 600 hours to community service in 2012, and have the support of the Community Foundation to back them up in 2013. A grant from the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge will be used to pay for player meals in exchange for the continued donation of time by Generals players.
Tyler Bocock (sophomore, Stetson) and Chad Farmer (junior, Appalachian State) have been named the Waynesboro Generals Players of the Week.
The Waynesboro Generals game scheduled for tonight vs. Harrisonburg has been postponed for a second time because field conditions are too wet to play. The game vs. the Turks is now on the calendar for Monday, June 24.
