River Bandits Beat Generals in Ten 4-3

The struggling Waynesboro Generals dropped yet another close one Tuesday evening as they were taken down in ten innings by the Woodstock River Bandits 4-3.

John Hisel would throw a good game for the Generals as he would take a no decision through seven complete. He allowed three earned runs on nine hits with four strike outs. In a rare relief appearance, Joseph Estrada would earn the loss as he would walk two Bandits and be tagged for one very important earned run.

Parker Phillips and Luke Robinson would both add RBIs in the loss while James Cosentino would knock his fourth double of the season.

Jonathon Murphy would earn his second win for the River Bandits as we would go for three innings of shutout relief. He allowed no hits, gave up one walk and struck out three.

Danton Hyman and Connor Golden would be the offensive standouts for Woodstock. Hyman would go 3-for-5, plating two RBIs and scoring a run while Golden would go 2-for-4 with an RBI.

The River Bandits are now 12-21 on the year.

The struggling Waynesboro Generals now fall to 19-17. They have only won three of their last ten and are once again six games behind the Tom Sox. The grind continues Wednesday evening as they travel to Purcellville to take on a strong Cannons team.
