Turks Takedown Generals 7-3

Unable to stick with the winning pattern, the Generals fell to the Harrisonburg Turks Saturday evening by a score of 7-3.

Locked up 3-3 headed into the top of the eighth, the Turks threw up a crooked number and hit the Generals for a four run inning. John Hisel would take his second loss of the season as he would get knocked for four runs, only one of which was earned.

Generals starter Gabe Mosser would run a complete seven and allow three earned runs on nine hits. He walked two and had seven strike outs.

Jacob Ramos would grab his first win of the year for the Turks as he would provide three innings of relief. He allowed just two hits and struck out six. Starter Rhett Willis would throw six innings and allow three runs (two earned) on seven hits.

Five different Turks would provide RBIs in route to a fourteen hit evening. Joe Vranesh would provide the only RBI for the Generals.

The Turks are now 16-17 in the South with the Generals falling to 18-15. They remain six games behind the Tom Sox for the lead in the South.

The Generals will be back at home Sunday evening at Kate Collins Field as they look to beat I-64 rivals, the Charlottesville Tom Sox.
