Pair of Hurricanes Headed to Waynesboro

A duo of Hurricanes is set to make the trip to Waynesboro for the 2022 season. Catcher JD Jones and pitcher David Rossow will join the Generals from the University of Miami.

 

The Hurricanes are currently ranked No. 3 in the country according to D1baseball.com.

 

Jones will make the trip to the valley coming off of a freshman campaign that has seen the freshman hit .333 in 15 games for the Hurricanes. The Boulder, Colorado native recorded his only multi-hit game against FIU on Apr. 8.

 

Rossow will join the Generals also coming off of his freshman season in Coral Gables. The right-handed pitcher comes from Boca Raton, Florida. In two appearances this season Rossow has recorded 1.2 innings pitched and given up two earned runs.

 

The Generals’ season will kick off on June 3 as they host the Staunton Braves. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
