Three BC Bears Heading to Waynesboro

WAYNESBORO, Va. – Three Bloomfield College Bears will make the trip from New Jersey to Waynesboro for the 2023 summer season.

Angel Murray, Luis Ramirez and Suriel Sleiter will make the trip to the Shenandoah Valley for the summer.

Murray is coming off of his second season with the Bears where he saw action in 39 games and hit for a .252 average. The Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico native saw action primarily in the infield and tallied five home runs to go along with 27 walks and 18 runs driven in.

Ramirez is also coming off of his second season at Bloomfield and saw an uptick in production for the Bears in the infield. Ramirez played in 35 games and swung at a .333 average while tallying 16 extra-base hits. The Teaneck, N.J. native had one of his best games on the year against Queens College in March where he tallied a pair of doubles and scored a pair of runs in the leadoff spot for the Bears.

Sleiter joins the Generals after his first season at BC as a utility player providing a solid presence in the outfield and 14 appearances on the bump. The Pleasantville, N.J. native saw action in 44 games in total for the Bears and swung for a .221 average at the dish. On the mound, Sleiter made three starts and recorded a 2-3 mark in total along with three saves. The junior tallied a triple and picked up a two-inning save in a win over Staten Island back in March.

The 2023 season kicks off on June 1 as the Generals head to Charlottesville for a 7 p.m. date with the TomSox.
