Cirone Headed to the Valley

WAYNESBORO, Va. – Right-handed pitcher Tyler Cirone is heading to Waynesboro for the 2023 season.

Cirone is currently a senior at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and has appeared in seven contests for the Highlanders in 2023.

The Midland Park, N.J. native has seen action primarily out of the bullpen during his time for the Highlanders, but has made six starts at NJIT primarily on staff days as an opener.

Cirone has one save t o his career record in 24 appearances for a NJIT squad that sits in the middle of the America East standings in the home stretch of the season.

The Generals’ season opens on June 1 on the road as the Gens head to the piedmont to take on the Charlottesville Tom Sox.
