Waynesboro Generals alum Brooks Cullen improved to 8-0 in 2010 with a 4-3 win for Concord against Bluefield State on Saturday.

Cullen, a Wilson Memorial graduate and a senior at Concord, is also hitting .393 with 11 homers and 51 RBI for the Mountain Lions.

“Hitting and pitching-wise, I feel like I’ve learned a lot, and know what to expect. I’ve just improved a lot, all the way around,” Cullen told the Bluefield Daily Telegraph for a story published last week.

You can read the story here.

Cullen had an 0-1 record and 6.75 ERA in 12 appearances (including one start) for Waynesboro in 2009. He also hit .256 in 18 games (11 starts) primarily in center field for the Generals.

Great stats by Brooks! Is he coming back to the Generals this year and when will the full roster be up on the site?

Brooks is a senior, and so he can’t come back.

The full roster is not yet finalized. It should be … soon.

Chris, I know the roster is close to being finalized and did see online the News-Virginian tonight and seen that we got a local kid, Jeremy Fitzgerald coming to play ball for Waynesboro. It also said something about Ness getting players from UVA. Do you know who the three players are from UVA possibly joining us, I do know about the players from LSU but I’m so anxious to know who the UVA guys are. I know of several UVA players going to the Cape. The team is looking great on paper. Believe me I will be watching alot of baseball and going to plenty that weekend of the regionals and then the Generals games.
