Heating Up: Three Generals regulars are hitting .300 or better, and the team batting average is up to .253, still 10th in the 12-team Valley League, but Waynesboro was last in the league a week ago.

MJ Sartin is leading the team with a .345 average, good for 13th in the league among hitters who would quality for the batting title.

Jordan Walton is second on the team and 14th in the league with a .344 average. Chase Worthington is hitting .317 for the season.

Catcher Jeb Weymouth is hitting .348 in 23 at-bats after having the start to his Valley League season delayed due to a hand injury.
 

Tough Luck: TJ Page is leading Waynesboro in earned-run average with a 2.14 ERA in 21 innings (four games, three starts).

Page’s ERA is sixth in the league among pitchers who would qualify for the league ERA title.

Page is a tough-luck 0-1 on the season after taking the loss against Covington Saturday night. Page gave up four runs (two earned) in six innings against the Lumberjacks in the 8-5 loss.

Nate Young (1-1) has a 1.48 ERA in two starts. Closer Andrew Reck (0-1, three saves) has a 1.35 ERA in six appearances (8.2 IP). Andrew Blackwell (0-0) has a 1.69 ERA in eight appearances (10.2 IP). Cameron Finch (2-0) has a 2.13 ERA in five appearances (12.2 IP).
