Palensky named South Division Player of the Week

Waynesboro Generals shortstop Caleb Palensky was named the Valley League South Division Player of the Week.

Palensky, a sophomore at Nebraska-Omaha, led the Valley League last week with a .583 average and 14 hits.

Palensky had a hit in the five games that he played in last week and had four hits in two games.

Palensky had been the Waynesboro Generals Player of the Week for the week ending June 17 after going 10-for-25 at the plate in the seven-day period preceding that announcement.

For the season, Palensky is hitting .432/.500/.554 with 13 RBI and 12 runs scored.
