Young ballplayer wins WSVA First Pitch Contest

Evan Sites isn’t worried that he might throw one out of the strike zone. The crowd will be bigger than he’s used to playing in front of in his Little League games, but still, Sites, 9, is a pitcher. “Not really at all,” Sites told WSVA-550AM “Late Afternoons” host Mike Schikman on Thursday. On Sunday, before the WSVA Waynesboro Generals Game of the Week, Sites will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
