Generals Blast 3 Homers in Regular Season Finale
The Generals came out hot in the early going on the road in Staunton to push them towards a 13-5 victory in the last game of the regular season.
Marcus Ragan (Arkansas Little Rock) wasted no time getting the offense up and running. He doubled into right center on the second pitch of the game. After being bunted to third, Tyler Bielamowicz (Houston) hit a high fly ball to center field for a sacrifice fly for the first run of the game. This set up the 2-out, nobody on, situation that Andrew Orzel (Wofford) stepped to the plate to. Orzel would hammer a ball over the trees that stand behind the left field fence. He and his teammates were still getting settled back into their seats in the dugout when Bo Seccombe (Faulkner) unleashed on his first home run of the summer in just his second game with the club. The score after 1 full inning of play was 3-0 Generals.
The Gens didn’t stop after the first inning. They continued in the 2nd where they left off in the first. Staunton managed to get the first two hitters out in the inning. Trey Polewski (USC Aiken) didn’t allow the Gens to go down easy. He singled to left field. Marcus Ragan followed him up with his second hit in as many innings. After a pitching change, Hunter Johnson (JMU) hit a line shot over the centerfield fence to make the score 6-0.
After nothing going on for either side in the 3rd, the 4th proved to be fruitful for the Gens. Chris Brady (Patrick Henry CC) started things off with a walk and would move to second on a sacrifice bunt. Marcus Ragan would come up with his 3rd hit of the night, this time for an RBI single. Hunter Johnson would move Ragan to third with a single but would be thrown out at second trying to stretch it into a double. Tyler Bielamowicz would step in and deliver a 2 out double to bring in Ragan. Orzel would single to right and bring in Bielo for the third run of the inning. The score as 9-0 going into the bottom of the 4th.
The Braves would finally get on the board in the bottom of the 4th when Eric Connor hit a solo home run to centerfield. Then in the 5th, they’d tack on another run via the solo home run. This time the culprit was Bryson Parks. Then in the 7th, the Braves would start to make things interesting. Gens fans can’t help but remember the 9-2 lead they blew to Staunton earlier on in the year. They would start to have flash backs in the 7th. The Braves would start the inning off with a double, a walk, and a wild pitch to get two runners into scoring position. 2 batters later, a single would bring in a run and put runners at the corner with one out and the score at 9-3. After a walk to load the bases, Tyler Thompson (Austin Peay) would stride to the mound out of the bullpen to try and limit the damage. He would get the hitter to roll a slow ground ball to shortstop for out number 2, but another run was able to score. Runners were again at the corners, this time with two outs and the score at 9-4. A groundball with eyes would make its way through the infield to put up the third and final run in the inning. The score after 7 innings was a much closer 9-5 tally.
The Gens wouldn’t allow the comeback this time though. They bounced right back for 4 runs in the top of the 8th. Trey Polewski would work his way on with a walk and would be bunted to second. Hunter Johnson would bring in Polewski with a single and would move to second base on the throw. After a Jackson Webb (UCF) walk and an error by the first baseman on a grounder by Andrew Orzel, Bo Seccombe would come through with another huge knock. It was a bases clearing triple by Seccombe that would bring the score to the 13-5 mark that it would finish with.

The Generals finish the season at 24-18, 4 games better than last year’s record. They have earned the 3rd seed in the South Division and will begin the playoffs Sunday night at CVille Weekly Ballpark when they take on the 2nd seeded Charlottesville TomSox. The playoffs series are all best-of-3 format.
Generals Win Home Finale Over Covington
In the final regular season game at Kate Collins Field, the Generals were able to push across 8 runs on the Lumberjacks to pick up their 23rd win of the season.
The Lumberjacks had played at Purcellville Friday afternoon before making their way back to Waynesboro for a game that ended up getting started around 8:15 Friday night. With their win in Purcellville, they had clinched the South Division Pennant. After locking up the number 1 seed, they would turn to some position players to do the pitching to save their arms for their playoff series starting Sunday. This being said, their offense didn’t waste much time. They scored the game’s first run in the top of the second inning. A lead-off triple set the Jacks up for a groundball to short to score the first run on the RBI groundout.
The Generals would come in and take the lead in the bottom of the second inning with 2 runs. Bryce Teodosio (Clemson) would start things off with a one-out walk. Jackson Webb (UCF) would lay down a perfect drag bunt that hugged the third base line for a bunt single. Teodosio and Webb pulled off a double steal to put 2 runners into scoring position. Marcus Ragan (Arkansas Little Rock) came through with a 2 out double into the right centerfield gap to put the Gens on top 2-1. They would never relinquish the lead after that.
The score in the second inning began a streak of 4 straight innings with a score. In the 3rd, Tyler Bielamowicz (Houston) started the inning off by getting on base via Covington error. After 2 wild pitches, Andrew Orzel (Wofford) would send a flyball deep to centerfield for a sacrifice fly. In the 4th, Jackson Webb would lead off with a double and move to third on a balk. Trey Polewski (USC Aiken) was hit by a pitch to put runners on the corner. Hunter Johnson (JMU) would bring in a run on his first RBI of the summer on a sacrifice fly to left. Tyler Bielamowicz wouldn’t waste any time after the sac fly. He ripped the first pitch into left center field to score Polewski. After 4 complete innings the score stood at 5-1 in favor of the Generals.
Covington would mount a bit of a comeback in the 5th. The first two hitters worked their way on by walk and hit-by-pitch. A stolen base and a passed ball would move runners into scoring position. The Jacks would then put together back-to-back RBI groundouts for two runs in the inning to make the score 5-3.
The Gens would respond in the same inning on one swing of the bat. Bryce Teodosio would unload on his 5th home run of the summer in the bottom of the 5th to lengthen the lead just a little more. The score was now 6-3. After a quiet 6th inning, the Generals would score in the bottom of the 7th, making it 5 out of their last 6 innings with a run scored. Andrew Orzel started things off with a double. He was brought in on a triple down the right field line by Joe Bellini (Cincinnati). Bellini would score on a sacrifice fly by Jackson Webb. That made the score 8-3 late in the game.
The Jacks would add one more run in the top of the 8th when a lead off single moved to second on a ground ball to short. He was then brought into score on a single to left to bring the score to its final mark of 8-4.

The Generals (23-18) will travel to Staunton tomorrow to take on the Braves in the last game of the regular season. A game that will play large on the playoff picture. The Harrisonburg Turks need to beat Charlottesville and also need the Gens to take down the Braves to get the 4th spot. The Braves only need a loss by Harrisonburg OR a victory over our Gens.
Late Error Costs Generals Against TomSox
Fred Villarreal (Houston) threw one of the most dominating performances the Generals have had from a starting pitcher this summer. Unfortunately, an error in the top of the 9th inning came around to score the winning run and the Gens weren’t able to recover.
In a game that saw a combined 9 hits and 3 runs, errors turned out to be a huge difference in the game. Waynesboro out-hit Charlottesville 5 to 4 because of the stellar outing from Villarreal.
The Generals would get on the board first with a run in the bottom of the third inning. It started with a lead-off single to center for Joe Bellini (Cincinnati). 2 batters later, Jackson Webb (UCF) hit into a fielder’s choice for the second out of the inning. He would come around to score when Alex Webb (Chipola) drilled a double into the right center field gap. That would end up proving to be the only run of the game for the Generals.
The TomSox would answer quickly with a run in the top of the 4th. After a strikeout to begin the inning, Charlottesville put together 2 straight singles to put runners on the corners. A sacrifice fly deep into right was enough to bring the tying run in. Things would settle in after the score in the 4th.
In the bottom of the 8th, it looked like Waynesboro was in great shape to score the go-ahead run. After a leadoff walk by Jackson Webb, Alex Webb bunted him up to second base. When the third baseman came into field the bunt, the pitcher went over to cover third base. When things settled in, the pitcher started his walk back to the mound, leaving the base unattended. The third base coach alerted Webb who tried to make it to third. Unfortunately, the third baseman was on his way back to his position and was easily there in time to tag out Webb. He would have been in scoring position for the team leader in RBIs, Andrew Orzel (Wofford).
In the top of the 9th, Fred Villarreal was still out there and looking as strong as ever. After striking out the league leader in RBIs, Villarreal got a fly ball down the right field line. The right fielder made it to the ball in time and looked as if it would be a simple out number 2. However, he dropped the ball and the runner hustled into second base. A fly ball to right for the second out was enough to move the runner to third base. On the second pitch of the at-bat, Villarreal delivered a pitch that hit off the catcher’s glove and went to the back stop. It allowed the runner to score and move the final to 2-1. The Generals went three up, three down in the bottom of the 9th. It was their second straight loss.

Gens Fall to Staunton On the Road
A trio of 3 run innings by the Braves put enough distance from the Generals to take down Waynesboro in comfortable fashion. While Waynesboro scored in 5 of the 9 offensive innings, it wasn’t enough to keep up with Staunton.
The first of the 3 run innings from the Braves came in the bottom of the first inning. The first hitter of the game doubled to left center to start things off. He was moved to third after a sacrifice attempt was botched by the General catcher. After a stolen base, runners were on second and third when a sacrifice fly was hit to center. The throw from center got away and allowed the runner from second to move up. The next Staunton batter doubled to right center to drive in another run and make it 2-0. The final run scored came 2 batters later on a 2 out single to right.
The Gens would respond with a run in the top of the second. Bryce Teodosio (Clemson) led the inning off with a hit-by-pitch. 2 batters later he stole second to put himself in scoring position. After Bruno Teramoto (New Mexico St.) was hit by a pitch, Tyler Bielamowicz (Houston) drove a double right over the center fielder’s head for the first run of the ball game for the Gens. Unfortunately, they would strand Bruno at third. After 2 complete innings, the score would stand at 3-1.
In the bottom of the 4th inning, the Braves would unleash their second 3 run inning. It started with a 1 out walk. The next hitter would single and move runners to the corners with 1 out. When starting pitcher Evan Gillespie (Faulkner) would pick the runner off of first base, a run-down would ensue. When the runner from third took off for the plate, the General shortstop fired home and the ball scooted away from the catcher. So a run had scored and the runner that was picked at first went all the way to third. Trey Jacobs would follow all that up with a first pitch, 2-run homer for the Braves. The score was now 6-1 in favor of Staunton.
The Gens would bounce back in the top of the 5th to score another run. The Generals loaded the bases with nobody out in the inning. Tyler Bielamowicz would start things with a walk, followed by singles by Jackson Webb (UCF) and Alex Webb (Chipola) to load them up for the 4 through 6 hitters with nobody out. It looked to be the big inning the Generals would need. Andrew Orzel (Wofford) would hit a bleeder into center that would drop, but Alex Webb would be putout at second base for the first out. It would go as an RBI fielder’s choice for Orzel. The Braves starter Buckshot Flynn would then work a strikeout and a ground ball to get out of the inning with minimal damage. The score was 6-2 after 4 and a half innings.
The Braves would then put up their third and final 3 run inning to basically put the game out of reach. They got things started with a single and a walk to put runners at first and second. After a sacrifice bunt to move runners into scoring position, the hitter would come through with an RBI single to put runners at the corners. When the runner from first took off to second for a stolen base attempt, the throw from the catcher was a low one and the ball hit the lip of the infield and came up and caught Jackson Webb in the face. As the ball bounded away, the runner from home scored. After a wild pitch, an RBI groundout would be enough for their third run of the inning. The score after 5 complete would be 9-2.
The Generals would score 1 in each of the 6th, 7th, and 8th innings to tighten things up. In the 6th, Keegan Morrow (UAB) doubled to start things off. After a single by the newest addition to the team Dayton Beasley (Middle Georgia) to move Morrow to third, Tyler Bielamowicz came up with an RBI sacrifice fly. In the 7th, Alex Webb would start things off with another single. He would be followed by Andrew Orzel’s league leading 17th hit-by-pitch to put runners at first and second with nobody out. Keegan Morrow would drive in Webb for the only run of the 7th. In the 8th, another 2 out RBI single by Andrew Orzel would tighten the score to 9-5. However, in the bottom of the 8th the Braves would add a run on a 1 out single to move the score to 10-5. That ended up being the final.

Covington Snaps 5 Game Win Streak of Waynesboro
In a back and forth battle for first place with Waynesboro, who was only a game back of Covington for the lead in the South division, Evan McAndrew from the Lumerjacks threw the last 5 innings in no-hit fashion to shut down the Generals in a 7-5 loss.
The Gens started out hot in the bottom of the first inning by scoring 2 to take the lead. It all started with a 2 out hit-by-pitch to Alex Brait (FGCU). Andrew Orzel (Wofford) followed him up with a walk. Alex Webb (Chipola) drove in the first run with a single to center. 2 pitches later Orzel came in to score on a wild pitch. The 2-0 lead would stand until the top of the third.
In the top of the third, Covington evened the score at 2 on the strength of 3 base hits. With one out, the Jacks delivered back-to-back singles to start things out. A fielder’s choice on a slowly hit ground ball scored the first run. After the runner moved to second base on a wild pitch, a ground-rule double drove in the tying run. They then took a lead in the top of the 4th. The first two runners reached in the inning and were sacrificed to second and third on a well-executed bunt. A sacrifice fly drove in the run to put them in the lead.
The Generals would tie the game in the bottom of the 4th when the first two runners also reached. However, when trying to bunt for the first two strikes, the hitter was unsuccessful. He would end up grounding into a double play, but the run would score on an RBI single by Blake Johnson (UAB) to tie the game back up.
Covington would take the lead 4-3 in the top of the 5th. Covington hit a leadoff single to right that would end up playing into a 2 base error to put the leadoff runner on third. Eventually he would score on a one out single up the middle. The back and forth continued with the two top teams. Waynesboro scored 2 to take the lead back at 5-4. Chase Cheek (Duke) would reach on an error and would be followed up by another free pass to Alex Brait. Orzel would attempt to lay down a bunt and would do so successfully. When the Covington third baseman would make the throw, it would sail over the first baseman’s head. Cheek and Brait would both score on the play but the Generals would not capitalize and would be struck out twice to end then inning.
Covington drove in another run to tie the game again at 5 in the 6th inning. They would also tack on 1 run in both the 7th and 8th innings to take a 7-5 lead. It capped off a came where Covington scored in 6 straight innings.

Gens Score 16 to Beat New Market to Stay Hot
New Market fans had to be feeling a bit of deja vu when the Gens put up a 7 spot in the first inning. The last time the two teams matched up, Waynesboro won by busting out 18 runs on 20 hits. Tonight, the Generals would put up 16 in the winning effort.
The night started with a bang for Waynesboro. After starter Tyler Thompson (Austin Peay) worked out of a bases loaded jam in the first, the offense came alive. Tyler Bielamowicz (Houston) started things off with a single. Chase Cheek (Duke) would then send a swinging bunt up the third base line. The third baseman would field it and throw it away to allow Bielo to come all the way around to score and Cheek to make it to third. A hit-by-pitch and a walk loaded the bases for Alex Webb (Chipola). Webb shot a single up the middle for an RBI and the second run of the inning. Jackson Webb (UCF) worked a bases loaded RBI walk for the third run. Bryce Teodosio would then hit a high fly ball down the right field line into foul territory for a sacrifice fly that all runners advanced on. The next batter would strike out for out number two and New Market looked as if they could get out of the inning by only giving up 4 runs. However, Joe Bellini (Cincinatti) drilled a triple into the right center field gap for 2 RBIs. He would also end up scoring 2 pitches later on a wild pitch. The score would stand at 7-0 after 1 complete inning.
New Market would respond quickly with 2 runs in the top of the second inning. After a lead-off single, a fielder’s choice, and 2 stolen bases, there was a runner at 3rd base with only one out in the inning. The Rebels would shoot a single through the left side to score their first run. Two batters later, Andrew Eyster would drill a double down the right field line to drive in the other run of the inning. The score after 2 complete was now 7-2.
The Generals would bust things back open in the bottom of the 4th with 3 more runs. Alex Brait (Florida Gulf Coast) would start things off with a 1-out single to right and would advance to second later on a wild pitch. However after a strikeout, there were 2 away in the inning with Brait standing on second base. Alex Webb would walk and Brait would steal third to put runners at first and third for Bryce Teodosio. Teodosio was hit by a pitch to load the bases, Bruno Teramoto (New Mexico St) would get hit by a pitch for an RBI, and finally, Joe Bellini would be the third consecutive batter to be hit by a pitch and would bring in another run. The score moved to 10-2 after 4 innings.
In the top of the 5th, the Rebels would tack on a run to make the score 10-3. It started with a lead off single by Oraj Anu. That was one of 4 hits by Anu on the night. He was moved to second base on a tapper back to the mound. He eventually scored on a single to right field with two outs in the inning. But there would be no further threat.
In the bottom part of the 5th, the Generals would put up another 4 runs. Alex Brait was the man to start things with one out in the inning again. He drew a walk. Andrew Orzel (Wofford) would move him to third base on a single to right. With runners on the corners and 1 out in the inning, Alex Webb would ground into an RBI fielder’s choice. Jackson Webb would once again draw a walk to get runners on first and second for Bryce Teodosio. On a 2-2 count, Teodosio unloaded on a ball that disappeared into the night sky. The 3 run shot would move the score to 13-3.
For good measure, Waynesboro would pile on their final 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning. Joe Bellini would work a leadoff walk and would score on a first pitch RBI triple by Tyler Bielamowicz. Chase Cheek would send a groundball to the right side for an RBI groundout. The score stood at 16-3. The Rebels would manage to score one in the top of the 8th by way of an RBI groundout to third base to move the score to where it would ultimately finish. Final Score: 16-4.

Generals Post 7-4 Win Over Harrisonburg
Entering the game, Waynesboro led the season series with Harrisonburg 3 games to 1. The Generals offense would bust out 7 runs on 10 hits and the pitching staff would do a lot of “bending but not breaking” to bring home their 4th win in the series.
The Generals would take the lead early on with 2 runs in the bottom of the first inning and wouldn’t look back. Tyler Bielamowicz (Houston) would lead things off with a single to left. He would be followed up with what looked to be a routine single to center by Chase Cheek (Duke), but the ball got underneath the glove of the Turks centerfielder and allowed runners to advance to make it second and third with nobody out in the inning. Alex Brait (Florida Gulf Coast) wouldn’t waste much time and would single to center to drive both runners in.
The Turks would turn right around and make things a bit closer by scoring in the top of the second. They used back-to-back one-out singles to get a rally started. Generals starter Fred Villarreal (Houston) would do a nice job at minimizing the inning, and would only allow a sacrifice fly to the next hitter and would put out the next batter for out number 3. Heading to the bottom of the second, the score read 2-1 in favor of the Gens.
In the bottom of the second, the Generals would get the run they gave up right back. Dalton Wingo (UCF) would lead things off with a single. He would work his way all the way over to third via wild pitches and passed balls. Bruno Teramoto (New Mexico St) would bring in Wingo with a double down the left field line. The Generals got the score back up to 3-1.
Things would settle down a bit after the first two. Villarreal would start to cruise, as would Eli Ellington for Harrisonburg. Ellington was subbed in after just 2 innings out of the Harrisonburg starter. Hits and runs would begin to resurface again for both teams in the 5th. The Turks would pull a bit closer after a lead-off single and a hit batsmen would move to second and third on a sacrifice bunt. With one away in the inning, the Turks looked prime to tie the game when Austin Embler would shoot a single to center to drive in one. However, Villarreal then got a tapper back to the mound for out number two and would punch out the 3-hole hitting player for the Turks with 2 runners in scoring position. The Gens would cling to a 1 run lead after 4 and a half innings.
The Gens would answer right back in the bottom half of the 5th. Chase Cheek would work his way on by way of error. Ellington and the Turks would record 2 harmless outs after Cheek. Andrew Orzel (Wofford) would wear his league leading 16th pitch to make it first and second with 2 away. Jackson Webb (UCF) would load the bases with a walk to end Ellington’s night on the mound. Dalton Wingo would draw an RBI bases loaded walk to bring in the first run. He would be followed up with an RBI single by Joe Bellini (Cincinnati) but the inning would end on that play when the center fielder for the Turks threw out Webb trying to score. After 5 complete, the Generals would lead by a score of 5-2.
In the 6th, things would get a bit sticky. Villarreal would leave the game after only being able to record 1 out in the 6th. He left with the bases loaded and one out. Matt Nickles (Randolph-Macon) would come in and get the ground ball he was looking for. The Gens would turn a smooth 6-4-3 double play to escape with no damage done. The Generals would ride that momentum in the bottom of the 6th and would lengthen their lead by another run. Tyler Bielamowicz would single with one out in the inning. After a passed ball moved him to second, Chase Cheek came up with a double to left center to bring him in. The score would stand at 6-2.
The Turks would crack Nickles in the 7th inning and would touch him up for 2 innings. But when the duo of Alex Harper-Cook (Tennessee) and Aron Solis (Texas Southern) came on, the Turks didn’t have an answer. In the bottom of the 7th, the Gens would add an insurance run for a little more breathing room. Dalton Wingo would work his way on base yet again in the inning. He walked with one out. After a passed ball, Joey Bellini moved him to third on the strength of a base hit to right. Bruno Teramoto was able to bring in Wingo by sending a slow groundball to the third baseman. The Turks weren’t able to turn the double play quick enough for the speedy Teramoto. The score would move to 7-4.
From there, Aron Solis came on in the 8th and threw 2 dominant innings to pick up his second save of the year.

The Generals (16-13) win their 3rd in a row and 6th out of their last 7. They’ll take their win streak on the road Wednesday night when they travel up to Bridgeforth Field in Winchester when they take on the Royals.
Generals Put Up 20 Runs In Win Over Woodstock
Monday night in Woodstock was the second time this summer that the Gens have put up 20 hits in a game. Both have come within a week of each other. To go along with those 20 hits, they also put up 20 runs.
The Generals started the second half of the year with a bang. They put up 5 runs in the top of the first inning. The first batter of the game was Tyler Bielmaowicz (Houston) and he drew a walk. After recording an out, Bryce Teodosio (Clemson) walked to put runners at first and second. Alex Webb (Chipola) would single to load the bases. Andrew Orzel (Wofford) would be hit by his league leading 14th pitch to bring in the first run. Jackson Webb (UCF) would single through the left side to bring in another run with only one out in the inning. His teammate at UCF, Dalton Wingo, would follow him up with an RBI bases loaded walk. Joe Bellini (Cincinnati) would ground into an RBI fielder’s choice, but when Woodstock tried turning two, the throw was wide of the first baseman to allow another run to score. That would make the score 5-0.
Woodstock showed some fight early by getting on the scoreboard early. It started with a lead-off single by Anthony Cuozzi. He would move to second on a wild pitch, to third on a groundout to the right side, and would score on a 2 out single by Alex Goebel. The score after 1 complete would be 5-1. After the first, the game started to get ugly little by little.
In the second inning, Tyler Bielamowicz led off the inning with his first home run of the summer to make the score 6-1. We move on to the third where the Generals would score again. Dalton Wingo would start things off with a double. Joe Bellini would follow him up with a single. With runners on first and third, Tyler Bielamowicz would bring in another run by way of groundout. A close play at the plate would go in favor of Waynesboro. In the 4th innning, the Generals would score once again. This inning started with another double. This time it was Bryce Teodosio. Teodosio would steal third for Andrew Orzel who would single to bring him in.
It was in the 5th that the Generals started to score more than just one in an inning. They put up 4 runs in the 5th and 4 more in the 6th. The 5th started out with a lead off walk by Bruno Teramoto (New Mexico St), a hit-by pitch for Tyler Bielamowicz, a strikeout, and a single by Teodosio to load the bases. After another strike out to make it two outs in the inning, Andrew Orzel drew a bases loaded walk for an RBI. Jackson Webb would try his hand at the bases loaded situation and would also work a walk. Tyler Trovinger (Oakland) would be subbed into the game and would promptly follow suit with another bases loaded walk. Joe Bellini would make it 4 straight with a walk to bring in the 4th and final run of the 5th inning.
In the 6th, the inning was started by Tyler Bielamowicz with more of the same… A walk. Dylan Cloonan (Miami) would then double to put runners at second and third. Teodosio would load the bases with a hit-by-pitch. Alex Webb would contribute a sacrifice fly for the first run in the inning. Orzel would re-load the bases with another walk. Jackson Webb would draw his second bases loaded walk in the last 2 innings. Joe Bellini would hit a 2-out 2 RBI single to right field to bring in the final run of the 6th inning. After 6 complete, the score would read 16-1 in favor of Waynesboro.
The top of the 7th was the only inning the Generals didn’t score in. No worries though, they scored 2 in the 8th and 2 in the 9th. Alex Webb started the 8th with a single. He was followed by a flyout, a walk to Jackson Webb, and a single by Tyler Trovinger to load the bases. Joe Bellini would drive in another run with a single to centerfield. Bruno Teramoto would get in on the fun and drive in a run with a single to left field. That would be the end of that threat. In the 9th, Coach Jeanes would turn to an almost complete pitcher’s lineup. Right Handed Pitcher Fred Villarreal (Houston) would start things out with an infield single. Villarreall would be brought in by a Nick Parr (Oakland), a Right Handed Pitcher. Parr ripped a double over the head of the right fielder to bring in Villarreal. Parr reportedly went to Oakland as a two-way player but the coaching staff elected to keep him as a pitcher only. Hunter Shuff (USC Aiken), another Right Handed Pitcher, would also get in the fun with a single through the right side. Finally, Joe Bellini would drive in Parr for his 6th RBI of the night to bring the score to 20-1. That would be the final score in Woodstock.
